| Wasted Landlords was a cover band Mark put together with some friends just after Green River's break up. One quick story I heard is after Green River split, Jeff and Stone's new band Mother Love Bone was originally going to be called Lord's of the Wasteland. So when Mark found out about this, he quickly titled his joke band Wasted Landlord's, kinda forcing the Mother Love Bone guys to give up their original name, which I think is hilarious. However, Mark told me that:" I don't know if we forced The Lords of the Wasteland to change their name. They might have changed their name because they changed their line-up "(drummer Regan Hagar, formerly of Malfunksun, was replaced by Greg Gilmore, formerly of Ten Minute Warning).Anyway they played under various names, including Beer Garden and Wasted Landlords and it has featuring members of Love Battery, Swallow, Walkabouts, Chemistry Set and Tad. If you check up the line up (below), you will notice that they had three drummers !! I heard that they did two shows ( they wore dresses on the stage, climbed all over everything and Tad covered a blow-up doll with whip cream and "fucked" it ) and played 5 or so covers. Songs were "99th Floor" by the Moving Sidewalk, "I Don't Want That Kind of Love" by Crazyhead, "The One I Love" by REM "She Cracked" by The Modern Lovers and "Little Doll" by the Stooges. | |||||||||||
